Description:

This two-day course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It includes Close quarters handling, high speed manoeuvers, man overboard recovery and collision regulations. The course can be taken inland or on the coast and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.

Learner pre-requisites:

• minimum age 12, candidates under the age of 16 will be issued an endorsed certificate.
• may be preceded by Level 1

This course can lead to the ICC (International Certificate of Competence). The ICC is a requirement in many European countries and legally enables the holder to use or charter a vessel.  If you require this element please ask the instructor on day 1 of the training.  The additional fee to HOTA will be £15 + VAT for this element

Please note to claim the ICC certificate you need to apply direct to the RYA.  The fee to RYA is non members £75.00, members - free of charge (to become a member the charge is Under 18-£19, Under 25-£31, Adults -£62)
