16.07.21 COVID 19 Pandemic Update Statement

[11/3/2020 1:58:57 PM] COVID19 Update 3.11.2020 at 1200 hrs

3rd November 2020 HOTA to Remain Open to provide Training for all of our Customers during the period 5th November – 2nd December 2020

As per the very clear guidance from UK Government on Education, Work and support of Critical National Infrastructure, HOTA will be remaining open to provide the essential training required by our loyal customers during the period of “lockdown” in England from 5th November and 2nd December 2020.

This is fully aligned with the UK Government strategy of reducing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 Virus within the population by restricting non-essential social interaction and social travel whilst protecting the economy, education and essential businesses delivering manufacturing, supply chain, power, food supply, etc.

HOTA have reviewed our Covid-19 Risk Assessment (see link below), Covid-19 Emergency Response Plan and updated our Covid-19 Delegate Factsheet.  We are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of anyone on our premises and continue to maintain our “Covid Secure” measures at all times and enhance these wherever possible.  We have recently purchased two high-volume disinfectant fogging machines which will enhance our already thorough deep cleaning and quarantine regimes even further.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us directly at bookings@hota.org

On behalf of the company we hope that you and your family stay safe and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.

In light of the ongoing uncertain progress of the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the latest UK Goverment update on non-esstential travel and staying at home, we have taken the difficult but socially responsible option to continue to suspend all open course face to face training for a further three weeks until Monday 11th May 2020.  As a charity established thirty-three years ago by many of the key critical national infrastructure companies we serve and who’s business is protecting the health safety and welfare of all, we feel this is the only responsible course of action at this difficult time.

Please contact us directly at bookings@hota.org if you have any specific requests for remote training or closed safety critical courses for essential workers.

Statement 16th July 2021

IMPORTANT STATEMENT REGARDING UK GOVERNMENT DECISION TO MOVE TO STAGE 4 OF THE ROADMAP FOR THE EASING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS FOR ENGLAND ON THE 19th JULY 2021

HOTA has carefully reflected on the currently published advise, guidance relating to the easing of Covid-19 restrictions in law from Monday 19th July.

We have reached the decision that due to current case numbers and the ongoing need for self-isolation if in contact with a confirmed case, it is in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of all of our Delegates, Visitors and Staff, that there will be NO change to HOTA's current Covid-19 Secure measures that have protected people so well during the pandemic to date.

This means that daily temperature screening and declarations, and the wearing of face coverings will remain mandatory when moving around within HOTA buildings, as well as on certain practical sessions.  Social distancing will remain and class sizes will stay reduced to facilitate this. We will keep the situation under review regularly.

Acceptance of HOTA's Covid-19 Secure measures forms part of our terms and conditions for entry onto our training programmes and premises.
